Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary

Darren serves as Cutera’s General Counsel and Corporate Secretary with responsibility for all of the company’s legal matters. Immediately prior to joining Cutera, Darren served as Vice President, Corporate Legal Affairs with LivaNova PLC, a publicly-traded medical device manufacturer formed following the merger of Cyberonics, Inc. and Sorin SpA in October 2015. Prior to the merger, Darren served as Vice President, General Counsel and Assistant Secretary & Compliance Officer for Cyberonics. Following the merger, at LivaNova, Darren had legal responsibility for the company’s Cardiac Rhythm Management business unit, as well as responsibility for the Company’s global intellectual property function. Darren joined Cyberonics in August 2005 as Compliance Officer and Assistant General Counsel with responsibility for the company’s worldwide legal affairs. Before joining Cyberonics, he was a shareholder in the health law practice group of the national law firm of Jenkens & Gilchrist, P.C. Prior to Jenkens & Gilchrist, Darren worked for pharmaceutical giant, Pfizer, Inc. in a sales and marketing capacity. Mr. Alch is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, and served on active duty in the U.S. Army as a field artillery officer.

Darren holds a B.S. in Management from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and a J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center.
